Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 September 2026
Property Skills Pty Ltd (ABN 88 636 848 103), trading as Property Skills, is a Melbourne-based property advisory firm. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you complete the enquiry form on this site we collect the details you give us:
- your first name, phone number and email address;
- your answers about what you are looking to buy, your timeline, your budget and the area you are searching;
- the page you enquired from, and the date and time.
We also collect standard technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser and device type, and how you found this site — for example whether you arrived from a search result or an advertisement.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive information such as health, financial account or identity-document details through this form.
Why we collect it
- to contact you about your enquiry, including by phone;
- to carry out the property assessment you have asked for;
- to understand which advertising and pages generate genuine enquiries, so we spend less on advertising that does not;
- to meet our record-keeping obligations.
By submitting the form you agree to be contacted about your enquiry. That consent covers replies about the enquiry itself — it is not consent to marketing. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and any SMS we send can be stopped by replying STOP.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- service providers who host this website, store enquiries in a secure database, and run the customer relationship system we use to manage and follow up enquiries. They act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality;
- advertising and analytics platforms, described below;
- anyone else where you have asked us to, or where the law requires it.
Advertising and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics and Google advertising products to measure how the site performs and whether advertising produces enquiries. Google collects and processes data in line with its own privacy policy, and you can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services here. We may also use advertising measurement provided by Microsoft and Meta.
These tools use cookies and similar identifiers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Where it is stored
Enquiry records are stored on secure servers that may be located outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where information is handled overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to respond to you and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [TO CONFIRM — privacy contact email] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
